The chart is superficially similar to the familiar Snellen charts, but there is no correspondence with the Snellen line numbers. The purpose of this chart is not diagnostic, but solely therapeutic. Hang one or more near your workspace or where you spend most of your time during the day, and have a look at it now and then. Be sure to choose a location where the lines at the top of the chart are clearly readable but those at the bottom are not.

What if any vision improvement methods you want to try are completely up to you, but if you haven't yet explored the topic in depth, a simple starting point might be to work on relaxing the muscles in your face and scalp while gazing at the chart for short periods; don't squint or stare; see what happens as the days go by.

If you wear glasses for nearsightedness, then if at all possible, keep them off while you are working at your computer. Prolonged close focusing is believed to be a primary cause of our modern myopia epidemic, and doing so through distance lenses is likely to be even more damaging. For some, it becomes a vicious circle: to maintain distance vision, ever stronger lenses are needed to compensate for the endless hours spent close focusing using the previous prescription. Don't let that happen to you.
